
Point Score Rules
The following regulations are copied directly from the Constitution and Standing Orders
4.1 You must be a financial member of the ASTC of NSW Inc to participate
4.2 There are three categories a) Dog of the Year
b) Bitch of the Year
c) Puppy of the Year
4.3 Classes 1, 1a, 2, 2a, 3, 3a only eligible for puppy points. (updated 14/6/05)
4.4 If a puppy reaches 12 months during the point score, the points accumulated as a puppy will stay in 'Puppy of the Year' (as a final total). The dog or bitch will then begin to earn points in the dog or bitch category.
4.5 Committee to nominate point score shows, to be spread across all regions of NSW. (updated 28/10/07).
4.6 Point score year to run from January to December with presentation of awards to be made at the Christmas Party in December. (Updated 3/9/06)
4.7 Point score Officer to report to committee meetings and provide updates to be published in the club magazine.
4.8 Secretary to write to nominated clubs to inform them of the point score and ask to advertise in the schedule (at least 5 months in advance)
4.9 Committee to offer trophy for outright winner and rosette for runner ups.
4.10 Point score officer has a list of financial members and only records points for members.
4.11 If an exhibitor becomes a member, points are recorded from the following point score show, (after membership has been passed), not backdated.
4.12 If two dogs are on and even point score points, then a count back of challenge points will be done. The winning dog is the one with the most challenge points.
4.13 No dog shall be eligible to receive any club award if at any time such dog has been charged and suspended by any Canine Authority in Australia unless such suspension shall be overturned on appeal. (Updated 7/11/04)
4.14 In order for a Dog or Bitch to accumulate points in the point score they must be handled by a financial club member. With the exception that if the member has 2 dogs in the same age class, challenge line up or Best of Breed the second dog may be handled by a non financial member with out penalty for that class only. 4.15 The worst 4 show results for each member will not be counted at the end of each year. Absence at a show will count as a result. (updated 28/10/07)

Where the nominated club for point score has a Saturday and Sunday show, the
Sunday show will be the point score
